"Living with Koalas" this artwork I did as part of the 100 invited artists to produce an artwork of the Koala, all of the artists to donate their artwork for auction next year and the proceeds go to the foundations for the Koala. A catalog will be coming out over the next few months, and then the show firstly in Sydney and then to LA I chose this little fellow, (titled as "Living with Hope"), it is a Scratchboard and limited ink. My subject was a survivor of the 2009 horrific bush fires which it was estimated over 2-3 thousand of these little creatures as well as some 400 Victorians lost their lives as did many other species. In some areas many townships were lost. |
